the unpoems

truth

have you ever experienced such a thing? a truth. a truth you don’t want to be true.

so bad, that you wish you could tear the universe apart. reconfigure it your way.

so that the truth is no longer there. it doesnt exist. just like before.

i know how that feels.

i tried. it does not work.

the universe does not tear.

the truth, it’s true. it’s there.

that’s the thing about truth.

it makes you live with it.

i hope you never experience such a thing.

lie

have you ever held in place a lie?

the one that opens doors to another,

it defies being contained

you try to hold it tightly in place, you wish it away

the stronger your wish, the blacker it spreads all over

clawing at everything inside you, a ferocious monster

it contaminates the memories you held dear

in the end, you wish you never had the curiosity,

that first invited this lie inside…

if it came to you, i hope you hold in place such a lie.

past

do you have in you that past?

a truant one, with a promise broken.

it flattered to deceive, it made you soar.

the one you knew would end, a different day would come.

the one you thought you controlled, you would usher.

a past that fooled you. it never belonged.

it came when it wanted, it left without warning.

in the end, when you looked back in time,

you realised this past was always a lie. shattering.

i pray your arrow contains not this past.

dream

have you ever had that dream?

the beautiful dream. you’re at home.

you feel light. no worry in the air.

gravity makes you float in this dream.

and you have a friend, the bestest friend.

it’s the perfect place. that’s why it’s your home.

then you wake up. your day begins. the friend isn’t there.

eyes clear up, mind sharpens, and the beautiful dream is dead.

i hope you never see such a dream.
